Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct forms the basis of the daily work of all employees of the agency and, in addition to the Code de Lisbonne and the Athens Code, regulates the conduct of employees towards the media, customers and the public:
- We only work for customers whose products and strategies we can vouch for at all times. Companies and persons who discriminate against other people or companies on religious or ethnic grounds, who pursue undemocratic goals or behave ruthlessly towards the environment cannot be customers of vibrio.
- We only work for customers whose products and strategies we understand. This means that we concentrate on markets in which we are at home.
- In communication, we focus on honesty and true content. We do not disseminate inaccurate information.
The Price Model
Guaranteed Fixed Prices and Optimal Cost Transparency
vibrio, the Munich-based agency for communications consulting, PR and social media marketing, calculates its services transparently for the client at all times. All services are invoiced on the basis of a uniform price list valid for all clients. As far as possible, campaigns are offered at guaranteed fixed prices.
We calculate the hourly and external costs for a project and present the customer with a detailed cost estimate (KVA). This cost estimate shows the exact number of calculated hours for all services. vibrio then guarantees the provision of the service at this fixed fee. There is therefore no hourly billing.
Only for very complex and difficult to plan projects do we reserve the right to adjust the costs to real services.
vibrio opted for this approach because hourly billing cannot be controlled by the customer and the creation of hourly books means unnecessary administrative work for which the customer ultimately has to pay. We prefer to use our time for professional consulting, creation and implementation.
Cheap and flexible monthly flat rates instead of expensive project fees
The PR agency vibrio usually looks after its customers for many years. We concentrate on our regular clients and, in contrast to traditional network agencies, rarely handle project business. This is what we understand by “sustainable communication work”.
This is why we offer our clients monthly retainer fees, which are much more than usual. On the basis of a medium-term action plan, we integrate general consulting, monitoring and ongoing reporting, but also concrete actions such as editing, ongoing programming, the organization of editorial visits and events or the support of social media channels into the retainer.
The customer is free to replace individual calculated services with others at any time, for example by using less editorial staff than planned. This gives the customer a credit balance that can be used for other campaigns. Customers receive a current status, in which the actions planned in the retainer are compared with the real services, as part of regular reporting.
Discounted retainers allow you to plan expenses and costs
The agreed retainers are always due at the beginning of the invoice month. Promotion fees will only be invoiced in the following month. The agency passes on the liquidity advantage resulting from the retainer to the customer in the form of volume-dependent discounts on the price list. In this way, customer and agency benefit equally from a concentration of budgets on the retainer.
Success-oriented fees
For some services we can offer success-based fees. We charge for the placement of exclusive PR articles in independent media in three steps:
- We charge a small flat fee for the preparation of an exposé and the media contact.
- The editorial service is invoiced depending on the volume of text.
- Only when the article is published does a success fee become due, which compensates for the agency’s extensive services as well as the long-term value of the existing media contacts.
Similar models apply to the placement and supervision of interviews, for lead generation in social selling and selected other projects.
Discounted flat fees can be combined with success fees for services such as the maintenance of social media channels. The success fees are calculated on the basis of a target agreement and previously defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Up to ten percent of the fee volume can thus be structured according to performance.
Discounts for new clients, loyalty bonus and volume discount
- New customers receive a discount of ten percent on the price list for all retainer services in the first six months.
- Long-term customers receive a loyalty discount of five percent on all retainer services from the fifth year onwards.
- All customers receive a discount on retainer services depending on the amount of the retainer. Depending on the order volume, the discount can be up to ten percent.
The discounts can be combined with each other.
vibrio – the PR Agency in Munich
The headquarters of the PR agency vibrio is not located in Munich by chance. This has something to do with the history of the agency. After all, two of the three members of the agency management come from the software company Microsoft: Ruth Bachmann was PR manager there for many years and Michael Kausch was press spokesman, PR manager and finally head of marketing communications. Microsoft’s German headquarters has been located in the Munich area for many years.
But the fact that Munich is a metropolitan region was more decisive for the selection of our location: It is the second largest media location in Europe and the high-tech centre of Germany. Here vibrio is one of the leading PR agencies in Munich.
