For a career at vibrio it is not important whether the heels of the employees are high or flat. More important is the love of short main sentences. After all, some social media like Twitter work quite well without main sentences. And knowledge of social media is indispensable today in all positions at vibrio.
By the way: vibrio is one of the signatories of the “Charta of Diversity”. This is not an organization. It is a “voluntary commitment” to diversity and tolerance. The document signed by Federal Minister Aydan Özoğuz states:
“The aim of implementing the ‘Charta of Diversity’ in our organisation is to create a working environment that is free of prejudice. All employees should be valued – regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity. Recognition of these diverse potentials creates economic advantages for our organization.”
Mixed teams bring better solutions and more innovative products. The aim is to promote the different potentials of all employees and to benefit from their diversity. You can find out more about this in our blog post on the Charta of Diversity.
Some knowledge and skills are required for all tasks:
- Ability to work in a team – because we work in a team
- Autonomous – because we trust our colleagues, who act very self-reliant depending on their position.
- Flexibility – because we rarely know what the next day will bring
- Creativity – because we develop innovative solutions for the problems and goals of our customers
- Service orientation – because our focus is on the customer
- Communication skills – because we live from contacts with different people: from the managing director of a global corporation to the press officer of a start-up to the technical editor and publisher of a business magazine
- Experiences in social media – because without Facebook, Twitter, Xing and LinkedIn PR cannot get by
- English language skills – because many of our customers work internationally
- Security in dealing with PC and MS-Office – because we live IT
- A good writing – because an exciting text is in demand everywhere.

Trainee and Internships
A good feeling for language is not put in the cradle. Communication skills are not hereditary. PR and social media marketing have to be learned. That’s why we train with care. Many young PR talents have already completed their traineeship at vibrio. Apparently, this training has a good reputation in the industry. That’s why the vibrio culture can be found today in many German PR agencies and press offices, but above all, of course, at vibrio itself. More than half of our employees learned their profession directly with us. We are proud of that.
Of course, we also offer internships and student jobs. But we don’t promote the unfortunate trend of exploiting permanent interns. Students finance their studies with us. Career starters can get a taste of the everyday life of a PR agency in order to find out whether PR and social media consultants can be a career path for them. However, we only offer a few internships and traineeships, because we do not take advantage of interns and volunteers, but invest in them.
Agency life is fun – virtual and fast
The best way to find out what working at vibrio looks like and how we tick is to visit us. You won’t find many, because we work in the cloud, we are virtual. Most employees work in their home office and only come to the office in Munich city center once or twice a week. This saves us long travel times, allows us to remain flexible, and still keeps us in constant contact with each other. This works very well with some teamwork solutions.
Nevertheless, we all meet regularly and physically once a month. Every now and then, goal- and project-oriented meetings are announced. You ask how we would describe ourselves in a few words? All right: vibrio is a motley team of individualists, specialists and humorists, collegial, helpful and sucks up new employees so quickly that the new one doesn’t come along at all. Is that enough for your application? If not, take a look at our Facebook page.
